Podcast studio, Soho and the West End

A podcast studio in the middle of Soho

75 Dean Street. Between Old Compton Street and Carlisle Street, above the noise and about eight minutes from most desks in the West End. Why West End teams book a studio on their own doorstep

A one-hour recording only costs an hour if the studio is nearby. The moment it is a half-hour journey each way, a one-hour session is a half-day, and the senior person you wanted on the episode stops agreeing to it.

That is the practical reason West End marketing teams, agencies and management companies use Dean Street: an executive can walk over, record, and be back at their desk inside ninety minutes. It is also why guests actually turn up.

The room

One studio, three cameras, a producer in the room and a set designed for your show. No two shows look the same. Start from our library of virtual sets, or have a bespoke set built for your brand. The set changes in seconds, so a single session can produce episodes that look nothing like each other, or a series that looks identically on-brand every week. It is the only purpose-built virtual podcast studio in London.

£200 an hour ex VAT, 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, booked online. Block booking brings it to £160 an hour on ten sessions or more.

Recording in Soho, practically

  • Guests: drop-off on Dean Street itself. Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are each under ten minutes' walk.
  • No parking, and the studio sits inside the Congestion Charge zone.
  • Lunchtime and late-afternoon slots are the ones West End teams take most; if you need a regular weekly slot, block booking holds it.
  • Somewhere to take a guest afterwards: you are in Soho. That is half the reason people agree to come.
