Podcast studio, central London
A central London podcast studio your guests can actually get to
Most podcast studios in London are cheaper than this one because they are somewhere else: an industrial unit in Acton, a basement in Bermondsey, a converted room out past the North Circular. That is fine until the guest you spent six weeks booking has to cross London in the rain, and cancels an hour before the session.
We are at 75 Dean Street, Soho, London, five minutes' walk from Tottenham Court Road. Three cameras, a producer in the room, and a set designed for your show. £200 an hour ex VAT. £160 an hour on ten sessions or more.
Getting here from anywhere in London
| Coming from | How | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth, Central, Northern) | Walk | 5 minutes |
| Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus | Walk | 6 to 9 minutes |
| Paddington | Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road, then walk | About 15 minutes |
| King's Cross St Pancras | Northern line to Tottenham Court Road, then walk | About 15 minutes |
| Waterloo | Northern line to Leicester Square, then walk | About 15 minutes |
| Liverpool Street | Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road, then walk | About 15 minutes |
| Heathrow | Elizabeth line direct to Tottenham Court Road, then walk | Under an hour |
Times are typical door-to-door, not promises. Check before you tell a guest.
There is no parking on Dean Street and the studio is inside the Congestion Charge zone, so almost everyone arrives on foot or by tube. Guests coming by cab should be dropped on Dean Street itself.
What £200 an hour gets you
- Three cameras, cut live or handed over as separate angles.
- A producer in the room. Not a key-code and an empty studio: someone runs the session with you, so nobody spends the first twenty minutes fighting a microphone.
- No two shows look the same. Start from our library of virtual sets or have a set built for your brand. Your own set, your colours, your logo. Change the look any episode without moving.
- Broadcast audio, recorded per speaker.
- Your first cut back by the next working day, through The Producer. Free while it is in beta.

The only purpose-built virtual podcast studio in London
Other London studios sell you a room and whatever is painted on the wall behind it. A handful have green screens they can use for video work. Dean Street was built from the floor up as a virtual studio: the sets are part of the system, not an add-on, which is why changing set takes seconds rather than a get-out and a re-rig.
For a company that means a series where every episode can look different, or ten episodes that look identically on-brand, for the same money. For a producer it means a set you could not afford to build for a single show.
Who books the studio
- Company content teams making a show the brand can stand behind, who need it to look deliberate rather than like a meeting room with a microphone.
- Agencies and comms teams running a show on a client's behalf, often with the client's executives in the chair for exactly one hour.
- Production companies and independent producers who want a central room, reliable kit and someone competent in it.
- Talent and management bringing a name in for a single session between other commitments.
What happens after you stop recording
Most studios hand you the files and wish you luck. The edit then takes a week, and the clips that were supposed to promote the episode arrive after everyone has moved on.
The Producer takes the session from recording to a first cut and social clips by the next working day, often the same evening. Free while it is in beta.
Questions
- Where exactly are you?
- 75 Dean Street, Soho, London. Five minutes from Tottenham Court Road station.
- Can we record more than three hours?
- Yes. Sessions longer than three hours, and block bookings, are arranged directly through the enquiry form rather than the online booking.
- Can you build a set for our brand?
- Yes. Brand sets are built once and then available on every booking.
- Do you edit as well?
- Yes. Full episode edits from £200, social clips £200, and a live line cut for £150 if you want the episode finished as you record.
- Is there parking?
- No, and the studio is inside the Congestion Charge zone. Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus are all a short walk.
- What if we have never recorded a video podcast before?
- Book the free walkthrough. You will see the room and the sets, record a short taster to take away, and nobody will ask you for a booking at the end of it.
