Terms and Conditions

Cancellation policy​​

  • 7+ days before session: 100% refund minus any relevant fees

  • 6 days to 48 hours: one free reschedule

  • Less than 48 hours: no refund or reschedule

  • Force majeure: We are not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond our control; rescheduling will be offered where possible.

​Damage liability​

The Booker is liable for any damage incurred during the recording session to the Studio and/or Equipment caused by the Booker’s or their Guests’ negligence.

​Usage:​

We’re a space built on creativity, respect, and inclusion. Any content that is racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, or discriminatory in any form is not welcome. We reserve the right to end any session and delete recorded material if these standards are violated.

Offers and discounts

  • Offers and discounts apply only to bookings made after the offer starts and must be claimed at the time of booking. They are not retrospective: a discount cannot be applied to a session that has already been booked or paid for, and no refund of the difference will be made.

  • Each offer has its own terms, set out on this page. Where an offer says it can be combined with another, the discounts are added together and applied to the standard rate.

  • We may change or withdraw any offer for new bookings at any time. Bookings already made under an offer are honoured on the terms that applied when they were made.

Block bookings:​

  • A block is a pre-payment for 10 or more studio sessions at a 20% discount on the standard hourly rate. Sessions may be 1, 2 or 3 hours and may be mixed within a block.

  • The discount applies to studio time only. Add-ons are charged at the published rate at the time of each session.

  • Blocks are valid for 12 months from the date of payment. Sessions not booked and taken within that period are forfeited.

  • Blocks are non-refundable once paid. Unused sessions may be transferred to another show or person on request.

  • Individual sessions booked from a block are subject to the standard cancellation policy above. A session cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice is deducted from the block.

  • The block discount can be combined with the AI Podcast discount. Block-booked sessions do not earn loyalty points and cannot be combined with loyalty rewards, referral rewards or coupon codes.

  • We may withdraw the block booking offer for new purchases at any time; blocks already paid for are honoured in full.

AI Show Special

  • The AI Show Special is a 20% discount on the standard hourly studio rate for episodes that are, in the studio's reasonable judgement, predominantly about artificial intelligence. Eligibility is confirmed per episode at the time of booking.

  • The discount applies to studio time only. Add-ons are charged at the published rate at the time of each session.

  • In return for the discount, the booker grants The Dean Street Podcast Studio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use excerpts of up to 90 seconds in total from each discounted episode in the studio's weekly AI round-up programme and on that programme's social media channels, for 24 months from the episode's first release. Each use will credit the show by name and link to it where the platform allows.

  • The booker confirms they hold, or have obtained from their guests and contributors, the rights needed to grant this licence.

  • The booker may exclude a specific episode from the licence by written notice to the studio before that episode is released. The discount on that session is then reversed and invoiced at the standard rate.

  • The AI Show Special can be combined with Block Booking, loyalty rewards and referral rewards. Discounts are added together and applied to the standard rate; AI Show Special plus Block Booking is 40% off studio time.

  • We may withdraw the AI Show Special for new bookings at any time; sessions already booked at the AI rate are honoured in full.

The Producer beta

 

  • The Producer is the studio's automated post-production service: media sync, audio preparation, transcript, first cut, social clips, browser review and an editable timeline. During its beta it is provided free of charge on every session recorded at the studio.

  • In return, the booker agrees to: give honest feedback when asked; credit The Dean Street Podcast Studio in the published episode; mention or tag the studio in social posts about the episode; and, where the studio asks and the show is relevant, contribute to a short case study, which the booker approves before publication.

  • Beta software is provided as is. If a first cut or clip set fails, the studio will re-run it; the studio's standard recording service and media handover are not affected by the beta and are provided as normal.

  • The studio may end the beta and introduce the published price (currently intended to be £100 + VAT per session) on at least 30 days' notice. Sessions booked before that notice keep free use of The Producer.

  • The booker keeps all rights in their recording and their show. The Producer beta grants the studio no licence over the booker's content.

  • These terms replace any earlier beta programme terms.
