Count Binface in a virtual set at The Dean Street Podcast Studio

Case study ยท Count Binface

Seven countries' press in one studio day. Every interview edited, with more than 70 clips, the next day.

How Count Binface recorded seven international press interviews back to back at The Dean Street Podcast Studio during the Clacton by-election, and had every episode and its social clips delivered the following day.

At a glance

  • 7international press interviews recorded in one studio day
  • 7fully edited episodes, one per outlet
  • 70+social clips, titled and ready to post
  • Next dayeverything delivered the day after recording
  • 0hours in an editing suite

The challenge

The international press wanted him all at once, and the story was worth the most in the first 48 hours.

When Count Binface announced he was standing in the Clacton by-election, outlets from seven countries booked interviews: Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States.

Seven interviews is seven edits: episode cuts, social clips for each outlet's channels, and revision rounds with producers in seven time zones. Booked out to a conventional post-production workflow, that is a queue, not a news cycle.

The studio day, Tuesday 29 July 2026

All seven interviews were recorded back to back in a single day at The Dean Street Podcast Studio, with an engineer on the desk. From the moment each session wrapped, The Producer took over.

What The Producer did

  • An automatic pipeline. Each recording was transcribed, scanned for its strongest social moments and rendered, episode and clips, without an editor touching a timeline.
  • Edited in The Producer only. Every episode cut and every clip across all seven sessions was produced and revised in The Producer. Nobody opened an editing suite at any point.
  • Revisions in the same loop. Where a cut needed changing, the change was requested and the new render delivered in The Producer. Some sessions went through several rounds, all inside the same working day.

The results

Tuesday's interviews, edited and ready to publish on Wednesday.

  • 7interviews recorded in one studio day
  • 7fully edited episodes, one per outlet
  • 70+individual social clips, titled and ready to post
  • Wednesdaymost sessions complete by the afternoon, final revisions by the evening

For a by-election campaign, that is the difference between reacting to Tuesday's news on Wednesday, or the following week.

What The Producer can do

A private page per episode. No software to install, no files to courier.

  • Edit in the browser. Trim, cut a section, mute a word, choose a camera at any moment, fix a caption. Nothing is destructive and the episode genuinely re-renders to order.
  • Circulate for comments. Share the episode with contributors and stakeholders. Every note is timestamped and carries its author.
  • Render more social clips. Ask for more clips from any moment in the transcript, cut, framed and captioned the same way.
  • Ask the tool to edit the whole podcast. Describe the episode you want and the system produces a new cut for review.
  • Download everything. From the ingested camera and audio media, through the cleaned and mastered audio, to the finished episode and clips.
  • Hand the timeline to an editor. Every camera laid underneath in sync, mastered audio attached, transcript aligned. DaVinci Resolve today; Premiere Pro in beta.
