FAQ
In simple terms, we record video in a format that looks right everywhere your audience is likely to watch it — on YouTube, Spotify, laptops, phones and TVs. The priority is clarity, consistency and making sure presenters always look good, regardless of screen or viewing conditions.
Because most viewers watch podcasts on everyday devices, we use a colour standard that balances brightness, contrast and colour in a way those screens are designed for. This ensures the image looks natural and readable without requiring specialist post-production.
From a technical perspective, recordings are delivered in Rec.709, which is the broadcast and online standard for web and TV delivery. This is the native working colour space for most NLEs and streaming platforms, and allows editors to work quickly and predictably without colour management issues.
We do not record in S-Log or other wide-gamut / log formats. While those formats offer extended dynamic range and more aggressive grading flexibility, they are typically used in high-end film and drama workflows rather than fast-turnaround podcast production.
For producers, the key point is this: our approach is optimised for podcasts and video shows that need to look great, edit cleanly, and publish efficiently. If a log or cinematic colour workflow is a hard requirement for your project, we are happy to introduce you to one of our partner film studios who specialise in that level of production.
No. To maintain quality control, only studio equipment run by our Engineer is used during sessions.
We currently capture in ProRes LT (which you really don't need for a podcast), we then deliver as H.264 files via WeTransfer. Delivery is usually within 24 hours of your session, once payment has been received. Video is recorded in REC709, with 2 presenter cameras at 1080p plus 1 wide 4K (UHD) camera. For audio, you can choose either a 14-track WAV multitrack or a single mixed file when you book. Scratch audio on the supplied video files is included for easy syncing.
There are three cameras:
1 wide camera filming in 4K
2 presenter cameras filming in 1080p (for one or two presenters)

For most productions, media is delivered digitally, without you needing to stay on site. Files are sent via WeTransfer, making it easy to download and share with your editor or team. In the majority of cases, delivery happens within a few hours of the session and always within 24 hours.
From a technical and operational standpoint, all media goes through a short process of verification before delivery. This includes basic checks and secure back-ups to ensure files are complete and protected before they leave the studio. This means we do not offer instant, walk-out transfers as standard, in the same way a film studio with a dedicated DIT might.
Practically speaking, if you need files urgently, let us know in advance and we will do our best to prioritise your transfer. You are welcome to bring your own drives, but please note that on-site transfer takes approximately 90 minutes and must be requested ahead of time. If you do choose to wait, we are in Soho — so there are plenty of good places nearby to grab a coffee while we complete the process.
